We are honored to formally announce Lanikai at Kahalu\u02bbu, a cultural gathering rooted in \u02bbike, lineage, and place, guided by H\u0101lau Ka\u02bbeaikahelelani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lanikai is not a show created for visitors. It is not a staged production designed for spectacle. It is a living expression of Hawaiian culture, carried forward by a h\u0101lau whose work is grounded in responsibility to ancestors, land, and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the center of Lanikai are N\u0101 Kumu and the haum\u0101na who train, chant, move, and learn within the traditions of the h\u0101lau. Their participation is not performance for entertainment. It is practice in continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A h\u0101lau is a house of learning. It is where protocol is honored, language is preserved, and \u02bbike is passed from one generation to the next. The kumu do not simply teach dance. They cultivate discipline, cultural awareness, and reverence for \u02bb\u0101ina and kupuna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lanikai exists because the h\u0101lau exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every chant shared at Kahalu\u02bbu. All of it flows from the guidance of the h\u0101lau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Held at Kahalu\u02bbu Makai in Kailua-Kona, Lanikai is shaped by place. The land is not a backdrop. It is part of the teaching. The \u02bbike shared reflects Hawai\u02bbi Island and the traditions carried by those who steward it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By grounding the experience in h\u0101lau leadership, Lanikai ensures cultural accuracy, proper protocol, and integrity in every gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This announcement is an invitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An invitation to experience Hawaiian culture guided by those who live it.
